When is ezekiel war
But a lesser known prophecy is gaining momentum and importance for our day: Psalm 83, in which a different confederacy attempts to wipe out Israel. This psalm seems to be addressing current issues in the Middle East—nations conspiring to destroy Israel.
An Israeli soldier and his girlfriend read from the Book of Psalms Tehillim during a visit to the grave of a friend who died defending Israel. See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads. This psalm, however, was not written during a time of war. But Asaph was not just a worshiper; according to 2 Chronicles , he was also a chozeh seer or prophet. As a prophet, Asaph saw beyond this period of peace, to a time when this confederacy would seek the utter destruction of Israel.
That time now seems to be nearing. Of course, even today, conspiring against the Jewish People is considered nothing new.
From the Philistines to the Nazis, the Jewish People have been plotted against. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. The ten-member coalition of Psalm 83 forms a covenant with each other against not only the nation of Israel, but the God of Israel. The coalition is not satisfied to only destroy Israel as a nation; they want to wipe out the memory of the name of Israel; in effect, breaking the Abrahamic Covenant.
I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed. Of course, if through a human coalition the adversary could wipe out the name of Israel, that would effectively make the God of Israel look powerless and a liar in the face of the entire world. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over His kingdom.
I will be their God, and they will be my people. Ultra-Orthodox Jewish men pray in Jerusalem. His covenant with Abraham is unconditional and everlasting. For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.
And God has been fulfilling this prophecy and others like it, much to the dismay of those seeking to wipe out the very memory of Israel.
Salus has worked to identify some of these ancient groups based upon their ancient locations and others by where they migrated. Author and prophecy expert Joel Richardson has also identified each member group, as well, basing his conclusions only on their ancient location in 10th century BC; therefore, his locations differ slightly from those of Salus.
An old tourism poster replica for sale in a poster shop in Jerusalem. While this member coalition might not yet be overtly united in an action against Israel , these nations do exists today and are already united under the values of Islam. Moreover, Islam is influenced by a sibling rivalry that dates back to Ishmael and Isaac, and Esau and Jacob.
This ancient resentment against the chosen ones is perhaps fueling attacks and conspiracies against the existence of a Jewish homeland. Of course, these Psalm 83 countries are actively conspiring today to either take over the land of Israel and make it their own or to prevent Israel from being a Jewish state. In other words, they want to make Israel a country that cannot protect and shelter the Jewish People from those who hate them.
While Hezbollah, the terrorist group based in Lebanon, has been helping Syrian President Assad wage war against the rebels. Forty percent of Israeli civilians are in danger of rockets fired from the Gaza Strip. Some commentators believe that Egypt and Israel are experiencing the highest level of peace and cooperation since they signed their peace treaty of , especially in security against Hamas, where they. Gilead was a mountainous region east of the Jordan River divided among the tribes of Gad and Manasseh.
It is situated in what is today called Jordan. The good news is that you and your family can take steps to minimize the harmful effects of nuclear fallout, if the attack should happen before the next Rapture event. A mutually destructive nuclear exchange would help explain another aspect of end-times prophecy. The Book of Revelation is very clear that in the last days, power will be concentrated in the Middle East.
But China will be available for a push westward at the very end. Russia and the United States are conspicuous by their absence from the Book of Revelation. Their absence could be explained by a mutually destructive exchange. God will use this event to trigger a mighty revival in the nation Israel.
In my personal opinion, this will be the turning point spoken of by the Apostle Paul in Romans " A significant number of them will also discover Jesus, the Messiah of Israel. Remember, you and I are presently enjoying the "time of the Gentiles. As we saw earlier, that first rapture might be one of the "hooks in thy jaw" that God uses to draw Gog and his buddies into this invasion.
Verses of Ezekiel 39 describe the scene after the brief "invasion:" And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years; 10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.
This is a really gruesome scene. And very curious. The Israelites will recover an astonishing amount of war material from the invaders. For seven years, "they shall burn them with fire" to supply their own domestic energy needs. This might refer to massive oil tankers and mobile tank trucks captured after the battle.
Chuck Missler suggested that this passage might refer to captured nuclear weapons. Since reactor rods last several years, it's very conceivable that the recovered plutonium would support up to seven years of fuel production.
There's more detail in verses And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. Thus shall they cleanse the land. According to verse 14, the Israeli government will hire full-time professionals men of continual employment to oversee the burial and decontamination work. This sounds like the type of work needed after nuclear war -- or biological or chemical warfare.
If it was a supernatural meteorite shower, the rocks would fall and the corpses would be buried in rubble. Then it would just take a few weeks of work with bulldozers and vultures to deal with the mess. Instead, this cleanup is very odd. Passersby don't just bury what they find; they erect markers and let the professionals carry the stuff away to a designated waste area.
Sounds like the remains will be radioactive. Or toxic. Skipping verses , let's read verses And I will set My glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see My judgment that I have executed, and My hand that I have laid upon them.
However God works this out, it will be a conspicuous miracle. Of all the participants in the battle, only Israel -- the intended victim -- will be left standing. Nothing subtle about this. According to verse 22, the Jewish people will experience a massive spiritual awakening. The religious majority will believe that God favored them because of their innate superiority, and will become like the religious Pharisees of Jesus' day.
By contrast, the honest seekers will discover that Jesus, the Messiah, is described throughout their Scriptures, and they will turn to Him with all their heart. Why do you say that the worldly folks will be in the majority? Because other Scriptures tell us that only one-third of the nation Israel will escape to the wilderness. The rest will be surprised at the Last-Days' Dictator and his betrayal of them. Hey, teacher! Couldn't these chapters be just another description of the Battle of Armageddon?
That would certainly be a convenient explanation. But certain elements just don't fit: The Battle of Armageddon will be a gathering of all the world's military might to resist the return of Jesus, the Messiah of Israel. By contrast, Ezekiel describes an invasion of an independent nation of Israel. As we know from other Scriptures, notably the Book of Daniel, the Last-Days' Dictator will seize control of Israel in the middle of Daniel's 70th week.
Ezekiel's War happens before Israel is betrayed by the Beast. Ezekiel's account of the battle does NOT include a description of the Messiah's return in the clouds of glory. Neither does it describe His immediate arrival in Jerusalem to establish His kingdom. In other Hebrew prophetic accounts of The Day of The Lord , we see the Lord before, during and immediately after the devastation. God has specific objectives to accomplish by intervening in Magog's invasion. These objectives are different from His objectives for the Battle of Armageddon.
In the overall context of Bible prophecy, we know that the seven-year tribulation period known as Daniel's 70th week or the time of Jacob's trouble will be a time when God is specifically placing the nation Israel at the center of the world's attention.
His miraculous intervention against this invasion would be a suitable beginning. As we mentioned earlier, God will use this event as a spiritual wake-up call for the nation Israel. It would seem cruel if He permitted Israel to sleepwalk through the entire seven-year tribulation period.
At the very latest, this event might be at the midpoint of the seven-year period. The political alignments are different. By contrast, the Book of Revelation shows the Last-Days' Dictator and his allied kingdoms as central antagonists. God's pounding of the invaders might enable him to uproot the three. Hopefully you and I will be airlifted to safety raptured before then. And that person is likely to perish in God's response to the invasion.
The Last-Days' Dictator is more-likely to be a Shiite caliph, but this is all speculation for now. A nuclear exchange between the USA and Russia, coupled with the resulting toxic clouds of debris, would account for casualties of that magnitude.
First, notice the following verses: Ezek. From these few details, we can draw some initial conclusions: 1. Next we read: Ezek. I will go against those who are at rest, that live securely, all of them living without walls and having no bars or gates, Ezek. Though these two passages do not describe the present-day Israel, they do match Old Testament descriptions of the Israel of the Millennial Kingdom: Is. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war.
These descriptions match the descriptions given in Ezekiel Furthermore, though the nations of the earth will no longer learn war literally: train for war , the Enemy nevertheless will cause a final war to take place, according to Revelation Rev. This description also matches another passage from Ezekiel 38, describing the conclusion to this war: Ezek.
Finally, Ezekiel names the participants of this battle: Ezek. Jerusalem has never belonged to anyone but the Jewish people. It is theirs according to the covenant that God made with Abraham in the Book of Genesis. I am thrilled beyond my ability to express that the American Embassy has been moved to Jerusalem where it belongs.
I pray that God will bless this administration, and our nation, for all that it is doing to support Israel. Currently, in America, we see great blessings. Our economy is growing, the enemies of democracy and their evil corruption are being exposed, and our military is being rebuilt with stronger infrastructure.
So, pack up, pray up, and look up, because soon and very soon we are going to see the King, where He will rule and reign for all of eternity. We serve cookies to analyze traffic to this site. Information about your use of our site is shared with us for that purpose. Account Login. Sign in.
